This
year, 2004, we had a bumper crop of apples on the 9-year old dwarf
Fuji apple tree. On the advice of a friend who is a pomologist
I pruned the apple tree for shape in the late summer. I removed
a lot of water spouts and left the tree with a fountain-like shape.
